These monthly sessions provide tasters of different activities designed to improve your health and well-being leaving you feeling tranquil each Tuesday.

Laura Brodie

Laura Brodie, Founder of ‘Adventures in Albinism’ and the creator of ‘The Teacher’s Compass’, will be leading  these monthly based  sessions on Mindfulness and  Emotional Wellbeing exclusively for Eye Matter members.

Within these one-hour sessions, participants will explore how to cultivate greater presence, self-awareness and emotional balance in everyday life. Laura explained,”Mindfulness is a powerful and accessible resource for everyone, but it can be especially supportive for people who are blind or partially sighted. Alongside everyday life, we often navigate additional challenges such as social stigma, physical barriers, and emotional strain. Mindfulness and positive psychology offer practical tools to help manage these experiences with greater ease and self-awareness. Practices such as breath awareness, body awareness, self-compassion, and acceptance can support emotional regulation and help soften difficult moments. At the same time, learning to recognize and build on our strengths can bring more joy, confidence, and vitality into daily life. This combination supports not just coping, but also flourishing.”
