Jackie Turner Chair Yoga
Chair Yoga is yoga where the poses have been adapted so they can be done while seated in a chair or using the chair as a prop while standing. The class includes a blend of yoga stretches, meditation and breathing exercises! No class is the same! No experience is necessary. We learn that every body is perfect just as they are – no fear of failure, no strain. The class is uplifting and the aim is for us all to smile, to have fun and to experience the wonderful mental and physical benefits of this beautiful practice. With regular practice, this class will improve posture, balance, mobility and general flexibility.

Steve Wax – Neurobics
Neurobics Brain & Body Fitness – is a preventative and rehabilitative treatment programme which supports people to “Challenge the Body, Stimulate the Brain & Lift the Heart.”
Brain & Body Fitness has become a vital element for lifelong well-being, and Neurobics can help you to manage, postpone or eliminate cognitive decline as well as support those recovering from brain injury.
Every day, your brain forms NEW NEURAL CONNECTIONS, provided you give it what it needs. Your brain’s ability to change and grow is called NEUROPLASTICITY. It has been proved that the brain is like “plastic” – it can physically remodel itself.
Simple brain-fitness exercises, and being more mindful of various lifestyle habits, are an essential way to slow down cognitive decline, improve brain fitness, and harness the power of the brain’s ability to change!
The cutting-edge strategies we use in our workshops, focus on – improving memory, speed of reaction, concentration, focus, sleeping patterns, outside the box thinking, stress management and enabling an overall SHARPER BRAIN.
You all know the old saying, ‘USE IT OR LOSE IT!’
Although Neurobics workshops were originally created to support older adults, three years ago, Suzie Simons from Eye Matter asked me to trial a workshop on zoom for people with sight loss.
I adapted the workshop content, and the results were fantastic.
I meet with Eye Matter monthly, and am confident that the group find Neurobics a lot of fun, as well as a first-class brain workout.
