Belinda said, “SIX was a really fabulous, high energy show, which was quite humorous as well. The touch tour was brilliant. We got to handle various costume items, alongwith footwear, all elaborately decorated in studs and crystals. The workmanship is outstanding! The lady from VocalEyes, was informative and interesting, allowing us all a chance to ask questions.”
Eye Matter members and volunteers, attended an audio-described performance of SIX The Musical, at the Vaudeville Theatre (The Strand, London) on Saturday 25th April 2026, supported by VocalEyes.
Marie exclaimed, “Massive thank you to Suzie and the team for yesterday’s trip to the musical SIX. The touch tour was great. The musical was absolutely fabulous and the audio description really brought the performance to life.”
Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived.! From Tudor Queens to Pop Icons, the SIX wives of Henry VIII took the microphone to reclaim their identities out of the shadow of their infamous spouse. In true diva mode, each Queen had their own costume designer who competed for the most elaborate and eccentric designs. Members were able to feel these exquisite creations and marvel at the weight of each costume worn on stage.
To VocalEyes and the Vaudeville Theatre Suzie said,”my sincere thanks for the absolutely incredible outing you helped organise for our group. We attended as a party of 52, and I cannot speak highly enough of the support we received from both the theatre staff and the VocalEyes team.”
Several Eye Matter members shared that this was the best touch tour and audio-described performance they have experienced to date – and certainly one of the largest. Lonnie delivered the tour beautifully, supported by a fantastic team who brought the experience to life by passing around wigs and costumes, which were both striking and fascinating to explore.
Irena agreed, “Thank you Suzie for organising this outing. It was absolutely fabulous. I enjoyed the pizzas before hand as well. The touch tour was excellent. They put a lot of effort into welcoming us and nothing seemed too much trouble in making sure that we got the most out of the whole experience.”
We are truly grateful for this wonderful opportunity. Please do pass on our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making the event such a success – from the box office and front-of-house teams to the access staff at VocalEyes, all those working behind the scenes, and of course the lovely staff in the bar.
Working with VocalEyes on events like this makes a meaningful difference to the lives of our visually impaired members. We very much look forward to joining you again in the future and send our warmest thanks and appreciation to all involved.
