Reviews from our monthly sessions for 12 months.

Rosie said,”big thank you to Eyematter for the great creative writing zoom groups you have run and hope there will be more in the future as these are so great to do with fellow visually impaired people. It was lovely to hear my poem “Seasons from a blind perspective”read aloud by Joand feel very honoured, that it is going to be put in the Eyematter Anthology. It was also lovely to hear other people’s work and be able to share our lives together within a comfortable space.”
Tasha said, “I had a great time at the creative writing session it was such a fantastic way to spend a Friday morning with friends.”
Natalie said she has learnt from the group, “writing can be fun and poignant. The cathartic writing group has been really wonderful. At our Stroke Group on Monday we had some people from the NHS health outreach talking about/rehab provision and there was a man from the library as we were actually in the library. He was saying that the library is underused and I suggested a creative writing group and he almost danced with joy. I realised that I was expressing my ideas from what I have gained from Susy and Joanna. I did enjoy writing when I was at school, but now I can enjoy it again.
