Question 1.  Is there an iPhone that can have two SIM cards? It would be really helpful when travelling abroad.

Recommendations:  Every airline will have a Passenger Assistance number that you can book assistance through.  Airports and airlines are experienced at dealing with passengers who need support so when you book, tell them everything that you will need and they will take it from there.

Question 3. How can I ensure I have the right support when travelling by train across Britain?

Recommendations: the passenger assist app works well and is available on both iPhone and android from the following linkhttps://passengerassistance.com/ 

Question 4. I would like to plant out some new large pots, what do people suggest?

BBC Radio Four has a weekly advice program called Gardeners’ Question Time. Because it is on the radio it’s very descriptive and after every program, all the plants mentioned are listed on the GQT website for ease of reference.

Question 6. I’m finding Seeing AI frustrating for reading documents etc, what other apps can people recommend?

Recommendation’s: Gemini is useful although not perfect and is available on both Apple and android. To ask it questions, select the “Go Live” function which starts your camera so that Gemini can see what it is looking at.  Meta AI glasses have a camera built into them and work in a similar way. Question 7.  When dictating, is it possible to insert an emoji without needing to press anything?

Answer and recommendations:Yes! You can add emojis to your messages while dictating by speaking the name of the emoji followed by the word “emoji.” This works on both iOS and Android devices.  It is best to learn the name of the emojis you want to insert to give you the best chance of success!

Question 8. How can I avoid getting repetitive strain injury (RSI) when using my phone or tablet?

Recommendations: this is a common problem and one which can be helped by adopting some of the following:

When scrolling, use an ergonomic device like a stylus or keyboard attachment

  1. Instead of texting or emailing, send an audio message or call
  2. Instead of holding your phone to talk, use headphones and hands-free devices
  3. Instead of tapping out phone commands, use voice commands
  4. Practice alternating hands when using your phone

Do regular hand exercises and stretches to prevent cramps, stiffness and stimulate blood flow.
